THE STARTER REPORTED: a) COPPOLA (J Penny) jumped outwards leaving the stalls. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED: a) Shortly after the start, WOLF MOUNTAIN (M Yeni) was buffeted between WE ARE THE LOGANS (P Strydom) and FLAMBOYANT FLYER (D De Gouveia), which jumped awkwardly inwards leaving the stalls. b) Shortly after the start, LUTHULI (M K Katjedi) and COPPOLA (J Penny), which jumped awkwardly outwards, came together and bumped. c) Approaching the 1200m, the saddle on TURBO POWER (*T Mayhew) slipped forward placing Apprentice T Mayhew at a severe disadvantage. As a result, TURBO POWER (*T Mayhew) was directed outwards away from runners and was not competitive for the remainder of the race. d) RUN FOR COVER (G Lerena), the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Stable Employee J Coetzee was advised (MduP). JOCKEY CHANGES: None. RACE CARD CHANGES / OTHER: a) KASHKAVAL was carded to race without ear muffs (declared 12 September 2024 at 09H52). b) THAMBI raced equipped with blinkers (declared 13 September 2024 at 07H19).
