The start of this race was rescheduled due to the late Veterinary scratching of MY ONE AND ONLY (S Khumalo) at the start. Time was taken to allow the betting public to restructure their bets. THE STARTER REPORTED: a) QUEEN FENN (A Mgudlwa) lost 1 length. b) BAO LA (M Yeni) and SASCHA'S DREAM (R A Venniker) lost 2 lengths. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED : a) Shortly after the start WOZA NAWE (S Veale) was carried out by CHAKPORI (C F Dicken) which jumped out. b) At the 250m SASCHA'S DREAM (R A Venniker) which was hanging out from the 300m, was carried out marginally by PRINCESS CHARMER (C Habib) which shifted out sharply away from the crop when racing green. c) QUEEN FENN (A Mgudlwa) raced green. d) Jockey S Moodley reported that FANTASY LEAGUE faltered in the running. The Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine. e) WEST SIDE STORY (*K J Lihaba), the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Trainer D C Howells advised (SP).
