Stipes Report
THE STARTER REPORTED: a) LASHLAROO (C Habib) was restless in the stalls. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED : a) Shortly after the start when racing in restricted room RECORD HIGH (T Godden), LASHLAROO (C Habib), WINTER WAVES (R A Venniker) and MOYA WA LALIGA (M V'Rensburg) were inconvenienced. Thereafter RECORD HIGH (T Godden) lost position. b) Jockey C Habib reported that LASHLAROO did not stride out freely in the running and after becoming detached he did not persevere with his ride in the straight. The Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine. Trainer F Robinson was asked to report back on the condition of this gelding upon return to stables. c) In view of the performance of RECORD HIGH (T Godden) (14.25 lengths, 16/1 in the betting), the Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine. d) NEITHERHERENORTHER (C Zackey), the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis.
