THE STARTER REPORTED: a) PLUM BLOSSOM (+S Mkhumbuzi) jumped inwards leaving the stalls. b) LAST CAR TO PASS (+T Matsoele) was slow losing one length. c) PEARLY ASH (+C Mabaya) was slow into stride. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED: a) As the start was effected, PLUM BLOSSOM (+S Mkhumbuzi), which jumped inwards leaving the stalls, was carried out by ON A JET PLANE (+G Dadamasi), which jumped outwards leaving the stalls. b) ON A JET PLANE (+G Dadamasi) hung in from the 300m. c) Work Rider P Mongqawa, the rider of CAT O'CLOCK, got his crop briefly entangled in his reins at the 200m. d) Work Rider T Matsoele, the rider of LAST CAR TO PASS, briefly dropped his left-side rein at the 100m. e) Work Rider S Mkhumbuzi was charged with a contravention of Rule 58.10.2 (Appendix E read with Guideline 3 on the use of the crop) in that he misused his crop by striking PLUM BLOSSOM forward of the saddle in the concluding stages. Work Rider S Mkhumbuzi signed an Admission of Guilt and is suspended from riding in one (1) Work Rider race. Suspension date: 3 October 2024. f) LAST CAR TO PASS (+T Matsoele), the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis (MS). WORK RIDER CHANGES: a) PLUM BLOSSOM was ridden by Work Rider S Mkhumbuzi (declared 24 September 2024 at 07H37). b) PARIS PARTY: Work Rider A Feni weighed out at 58,3kg, 1kg over the carded weight as declared. c) ON A JET PLANE: Work Rider G Dadamasi weighed out at 57,9kg, 0,5kg over the carded weight.
