THE STARTER REPORTED: a) ARABIAN WYLIE (*K Strydom) lost 1 length. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED : a) CUPID'S CAPTAIN (S Veale) which raced fiercely in the early and middle stages, and had to be restrained off heels on a number of occasions between the 1000m and 800m b) At the 500m, GREY VIEW (A Marcus) jumped a shadow cast by the flood-lights and became unbalanced. c) HIGH LEGISLATION (*R Venniker) was hanging in from the 300m. d) ANOTHERDAYINAFRICA (M Yeni) shifted in away from the crop between the 300m and the 100m. e) Jockey D De Gouveia reported that CAPTAIN RECKLESS made an abnormal respiratory noise in the running. The Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine. f) HIGH LEGISLATION (*R Venniker), the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Assistant Trainer M Trott acting on behalf of Trainer J S Snaith advised (NS). JOCKEY / EQUIPMENT CHANGES : a) BIM BAM BUDDY raced without blinkers (advised 08.03.22/20h19).
