THE START OF THIS RACE WAS DELAYED DUE TO THE TRACK STAFF HAVING DIFFICULTIES POSITIONING THE STARTING STALLS ON THE TRACK. THE STARTER REPORTED: a) CARS BIG AS BARS (+S Siphika) was slow losing one length. b) HOKAAI MY MEISIE (+T Matsoele) and CYBER SPIRIT (+T Lukhele) were slow into stride. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED: a) Work Rider T Lukhele, the rider of CYBER SPIRIT, accidentally dropped his crop shortly before the finish line. b) In view of the performance of BELLISSIVAR (+C Mabaya), (distance 10,45 lengths, betting 28/10), the Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine this filly. c) BASINGSTOKE (+P Mongqawa), the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Trainer A P Peter advised (MduP). WORK RIDER CHANGES: a) CYBER SPIRIT was ridden by Work Rider T Lukhele (declared 25 September 2024 at 09H27). b) POTATO SALAD: Work Rider A Feni weighed out at 60,5kg, 0,5kg over the carded weight.
