THE STARTER REPORTED: a) DARLING HARBOUR (C Zackey) jumped inwards leaving the stalls. b) ALPHABETTY (C Habib) was slow losing three lengths. Trainer R Klaasen was advised to reschool this mare prior to her next engagement (GT). THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED: a) MIGHTY GODDESS (K Matsunyane) over-raced in the early stages. b) APACHE FIGHTER (G Lerena), raced wide, without cover around the turn and into the straight. Thereafter, Jockey G Lerena reported that he felt something amiss with this mare in running. The Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine. c) In the concluding stages, BOOM BOOM (M Yeni) was momentarily inconvenienced when awkwardly placed on the heels of OLIVIA'S WAY (J R Syster), and on the inside of LITTLEMARYSUNSHINE (P Strydom), which hung in from the 200m. d) Jockey C Zackey reported that DARLING HARBOUR made an abnormal respiratory noise in running. The Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine this filly. e) OLIVIA'S WAY (J R Syster), the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Assistant Trainer C Botha, acting on behalf of Trainer R R Magner, was advised (MS). JOCKEY CHANGES: a) ARIEL'S JET: Jockey R Danielson weighed out at 55,8kg, 0,5kg over the carded weight as declared.
