Stipes Report

THE STARTER REPORTED:

a)	EMPIRE BLUE (K Minnie) and GUERRA (R Fourie) jumped slow, losing one length.	
	
THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED: 

a)	GRADUATION TIME (L Mxothwa) shifted outwards shortly after the start, raced wide around the turn and thereafter, over raced in the early and middle stages.
b)	At approximately the 250m, GRADUATION TIME (L Mxothwa) was hanging in and was corrected.
c)	Jockey K Minnie (EMPIRE BLUE) dropped his right-side rein at the 250m, which he regained shortly thereafter.
d)	EL ROMIACHI (D Schwarz) was hanging in in the latter stages and was corrected.
e)	Jockey M van Rensburg reported that SILVER TYCOON did not stride out freely in running. The Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine this gelding.
f)	Jockey C Zackey appeared before the Board and was requested to explain why he did not ride AMERICAN DREAM out from approximately the 300m. He explained to the Board that, in his opinion, this gelding over raced in the early and middle stages of the race and when ridden hard in the straight, failed to respond to his urgings. Thereafter, he did not persevere with his riding. 
g)	LT ALEXANDER, the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Trainer WGC Miller was advised. (LM)
