THE STARTER REPORTED: a) MAGDALA (D Schwarz) refused to load and was withdrawn. b) HANGING ROCK (R Fourie) jumped slow, losing many lengths. c) FLOWER FESTIVAL (X Ndlovu), GREEN FAME (M Yeni) and JAMBO SANA (C Zackey) were slow into stride. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED: a) FLOWER FESTIVAL (X Ndlovu) over raced in the early and middle stages. b) The saddle on HANGING ROCK (R Fourie) slipped back in running. This was confirmed by the Veterinary Surgeon. c) In view of the report from the Starter regarding MAGDALA (D Schwarz), this filly's starting stall certificate has been withdrawn and she is suspended for 14 days in terms of Rule 61.6.10 and until such time as she proves to be tractable to load with a companion. (Suspension dates: 28/09/2024 to 11/10/2024 inclusive). MAGDALA may not be presented for re-passing during this period. d) In view of the report from the Starter regarding HANGING ROCK (R Fourie), this filly's starting stall certificate has been withdrawn and she is suspended for 7 days in terms of Rule 61.6.10 and until such time as she proves to be tractable to jump on terms with a companion. (Suspension dates: 28/09/2024 to 04/10/2024 inclusive). HANGING ROCK may not be presented for re-passing during this period. e) MARSHMALLOW, the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Trainer WGC Miller was advised.
