Stipes Report

THE STARTER REPORTED:  
a)	CHATTERTONS KEEPER (S Brown) lost 6 lengths. 
b)	MOUNT PLEASANT (AUS) (D De Gouveia) fly-jumped leaving the stalls losing 1 length. 
c)	SOLID GOLD (G Wright) was restless in the stalls. 
  
THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED :
a)	In view of the Starter's report with regard to CHATTERTONS KEEPER (S Brown), this gelding's starting stall certificate is withdrawn and it is suspended in terms of Rule 61.6.10 for a period of 7 days and until such time as it proves tractable with a companion.  Suspension dates: 14.03.22 to the 20.03.22.  CHATTERTONS KEEPER may not be presented for re-passing during this period.  Trainer W Whitehead will be advised. (SN)
b)	Shortly before the start was effected, MOUNT PLEASANT (AUS) (D De Gouveia) became restless and kicked the back gates of the starting stalls. Thereafter, MOUNT PLEASANT (AUS) (D De Gouveia) fly-jumped leaving the stalls. A race review was called by a Stipendiary Steward pertaining to MOUNT PLEASANT (AUS), drawn in stall gate 11. After reviewing the patrol film of this incident, the Stipendiary Board was of the opinion that this gelding was marginally impeded by the handler allocated to it. However, the Board felt that this incident was as a result of the horse's own behaviour. Therefore no further action was taken and MOUNT PLEASANT (AUS) was deemed to be a runner.   
c)	At the 300m, Jockey G Wright reported that he felt something amiss with SOLID GOLD and as a result eased this gelding out the race. In view of this report, the Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine SOLID GOLD. 
d)	Jockey M Yeni reported that he felt something amiss with GOOD RHYTHM in the running. The Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine.
e)	In view of the Veterinary Surgeon's report concerning SOLID GOLD, and in terms of Rule 93.1, this gelding is suspended for 60 days from racing in any race under the jurisdiction of the National Horseracing Authority. Trainer M L Roberts was advised. (Suspension Dates : 14.03.22 to the 12.05.22, bdi)
f)	SOCRATES (D Dillon), the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Assistant Trainer C Austin acting on behalf of Trainer S Humby advised (LB).
