EN ROUTE TO THE START, SPY STORY (M YENI) LIFTED ITS LEFT FRONT SHOE WHICH WAS ATTENDED TO BY THE COURSE FARRIER. THIS CAUSED A DELAY TO THE START OF THIS RACE. THE STARTER REPORTED: a) HONG KONG LUCKY (K Matsunyane) and INSPECTOR JAMES (P Strydom) were slow losing one length. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED: a) INSPECTOR JAMES (P Strydom) took a number of awkward strides in the concluding stages. Thereafter, Jockey P Strydom reported that this gelding did not stride out freely in running. The Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine. b) HAIR TRIGGER (G Lerena), the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Assistant Trainer C Botha, acting on behalf of Trainer R R Magner, was advised (LK). JOCKEY CHANGES: None. RACE CARD CHANGES / OTHER: None.
