ON ARRIVAL AT THE START BACCHUS (G LERENA) WAS SUBJECT TO A LATE VETERINARY EXAMINATION AND SUBSEQUENTLY SCRATCHED. TIME WAS ALLOTTED FOR THE BETTING PUBLIC TO RESTRUCTURE THEIR BETS. THIS CAUSED A DELAY TO THE START OF THIS RACE. THE STARTER REPORTED: a) SAIL THE SKY (M van Rensburg) jumped outwards leaving the stalls. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED: a) WILLOW EXPRESS (P Strydom), the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Stable Employee J Nosasa, acting on behalf of Trainer S G Tarry, was advised (LK). b) FORCE DE DIEU (K Matsunyane) was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis (AH).
