THE STARTER HAD NO REPORTS. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED: a) Approaching the 200m, QUANTUM THEORY (G Lerena) was steadied away from the heels of TCHAIKOVSKY (J Penny), which shifted in away from the crop and was immediately straightened. b) Apprentice G Dookhit did not persevere with his riding from the 200m. Thereafter, Apprentice G Dookhit reported that he felt something amiss with DANILO DANILOVITCH in running. The Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine this gelding. c) DYCE (P Strydom), the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Trainer M N Houdalakis advised (MduP).
