THE STARTER REPORTED: a) HOLOCENE (K Minnie) and CAPTAIN OF GRIT (L Mxothwa) were stubborn loading. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED: a) MISTER WHISTLE (C Maujean) over raced in the early and middle stages. b) MAKHACHEV (E Webber) had to be steadied momentarily when awkwardly placed on the heels of DUBAI HILLS (*DB Geerthsen), which shifted out away from the crop in the latter stages. Apprentice DB Geerthsen appeared before the Board and was advised to straighten his mounts timeously when shifting ground in the race. c) HEART STEALER, the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis.
