Stipes Report
THE STARTER REPORTED: a) CATCH A PENNY (CF Dicken) was stubborn loading. b) FRIDA KAHLO (G van Niekerk) and FLEUR DE VILLE (K Steyn) jumped slow, losing one length. c) RED STATE (O Noach) was slow into stride. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED: a) At the 600m CATCH A PENNY (CF Dicken) was momentarily unbalanced when bumped on the hindquarters by ROSA OSIRIA (G Wright). b) Between the 350m and the 250m SHIPINDANI (C Orffer) was held up when unable to secure clear running between the inside running rail and ALLTHEBOYSIVELOVED (R Fourie). c) At the 300m Jockey L Mxothwa (HERITAGE RIDGE) briefly dropped his right-side rein. d) Leaving the 300m, Jockey CF Dicken (CATCH A PENNY) was severely unbalanced when he lost the footing to his left side stirrup iron, which he regained shortly thereafter. e) Leaving the 200m FLEUR DE VILLE (K Steyn) was brushed outwards by CASA ESTIVA (A Mgudlwa), which raced green and shifted out. f) Jockey CF Dicken (CATCH A PENNY) dropped his crop at the 100m. g) In view of the report from the Starter regarding CATCH A PENNY (CF Dicken), Trainer GS Kotzen will be advised to have this filly re-schooled prior to her next engagement in terms of Rule 61.6.10. h) ALLTHEBOYSIVELOVED, the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis.
