a)	PENTOLINA (R Fourie) was reluctant to load and thereafter was slow into stride.
b)	APPLE CATCHER (K Steyn) fly-jumped leaving the stalls and lost one length.

THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED: 

a)	At the 1000m APPLE CATCHER (K Steyn) got its head up on a number of occasions while being steadied away from the heels of GLEE CLUB (G van Niekerk).	
b)	In the concluding stages, Jockey G Wright was unable to ride COULDITBE to the finish when awkwardly placed between the heels of GLEE CLUB (G van Niekerk) and JET TO THE SUN (J Solomons).
c)	Jockey D Ashby reported that MISS NEW YORK took no interest in running. The Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine this mare.
