THE STARTER REPORTED: a) WHITE SEAHORSE (C Bantam) was slow into stride. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED: a) BLACK CHERRY (O Noach) over raced in the early stages. b) DUBBELOSIX (L Mxothwa) was hanging out from the 300m. c) Approaching the 100m CIRCUMBENDIBUS (G Wright) shifted in sharply away from GARDEN SUN (D Ashby) and was momentarily unbalanced. d) In the concluding stages GNARLY (*I Taka) rolled in, clipped the heels of BOMBERS IN THE SKY (CF Dicken) and stumbled. e) Jockey A Mgudlwa reported that JOUEUR DE FLUTE made an abnormal respiratory noise in running. The Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine this colt. f) HAPPY DAYS, the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Trainer VH Marshall was advised.
