b)	Jockey O Noach reported that WINTER PEARL did not stride out freely in running. The Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine this gelding.
c)	Jockey A Arries was charged with a contravention of Rule 58.10.2 (Guideline 3; Appendix E) in that he mis-used 	his crop by striking NOON DAY GUN forward of the saddle at the 150m. Jockey A Arries signed an admission of 	guilt and was fined R1 000.00.
d)	SAIL THE SEAS, the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Trainer SJ Snaith was advised. (SC)
