Stipes Report
THE STARTER REPORTED: a) LEAD TO GLORY (G Wright) was slow into stride. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED: a) LOVERS LANE (A Arries) was continually held up for a clear run until passing the 200m. b) When questioned regarding his riding of ELECTRIC FEELS, which was only asked for an effort from the 200m, Jockey M Mjoka explained to the Stewards that this mare has a very short run in and that it was his intention to hold the mare up for as long as possible to ensure that she finishes her race off strongly. The Stewards, after hearing Jockey M Mjoka's explanation and reviewing this mares previous run on 3 September 2024, where this mare was ridden in a similar fashion, were satisfied that ELECTRIC FEELS had been ridden on merit and will proceed no further with this line of query. c) Jockey C Bantam reported that he felt something amiss with WYLIE JACK. The Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine this gelding. d) LOVERS LANE, the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Trainer L Gila was advised.
