Stipes Report
THE STARTER REPORTED: a) DREAM SCAPE (M van Rensburg) was stubborn loading, nervous in the stalls and jumped slow, losing one length. b) BELOW DECK (K Minnie) and CONFETTI (X Ndlovu) jumped slow, losing one length. c) SYMBOL OF LOVE (L Mxothwa) was slow into stride. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED: a) VALERIAS DREAM (C Zackey) and THREE CHEERS (C Maujean) were hanging in from the 400m and were corrected at the 150m. b) Jockeys R Fourie and X Ndlovu reported that ARTICUNO and CONFETTI respectively did not stride out freely in running. The Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine these fillies. Trainer AC Greeff was advised to report back should he find anything amiss with these fillies on their return to the stables. c) Jockey D Schwarz was charged with a contravention of Rule 55.4 in that he failed to weigh out at the carded weight on POMODORO MAGIC, or at the higher weight confirmed in his engagement with the Trainer, resulting in a change of rider. Jockey D Schwarz signed an admission of guilt and was fined R1000.00. d) SYMBOL OF LOVE, the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Trainer E Kaknis was advised.
