Stipes Report
The start of this race was delayed due to a helicopter having to be removed off the racecourse prior to the canter past, as well as the starting stalls opening for no apparent reason on several occasions. THE STARTER REPORTED: a) During the loading process, the front gates opened for no apparent reason resulting in HARTENBOS (W Marwing) and HEMLOCK (J Syster) exiting the front stalls. These horses were restrained by their riders, returned to the start, checked by the Course Veterinary Surgeon, passed fit to race and reloaded. b) Fairbreak for the rest. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED: a) TOM'S DINER (M Nyamagwete), the winner was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Trainer G Macleod advised. (GF) JOCKEY AND/OR EQUIPMENT CHANGES: None. RACE CARD CHANGES / OTHER: None. THE VETERINARY SURGEON HAD NO REPORTS. THERE WERE NO SCRATCHINGS.
