The start of this race was delayed due to the delay in the previous race. THE STARTER REPORTED: a) Fair break. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED: a) Jockey W Marwing, the rider of KALLIPOS did not persevere with his mount from the 500m. In view of this, the Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine this gelding. b) ULTIMATE JEWEL (D Daniels), the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Trainer D Swanson advised (GF) JOCKEY AND/OR EQUIPMENT CHANGES: a) Jockey W Marwing weighed out at 56,9kg, 0,5kg over the carded weight. b) HILDERLITA raced with a compression mask.
