Stipes Report
The start of this race was delayed due to a false start being called by the Starter. THE STARTER REPORTED: a) During the loading process, the front gates opened for no apparent reason resulting in all runners exiting the starting stalls. These horses were restrained by their riders, returned to the start, checked by the Course Veterinary Surgeon, passed fit to race and reloaded. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED: a) As the start was effected, the front gates of the starting stalls opened for no apparent reason resulting in all the runners exiting the starting stalls. This led to a false start being called by the Starter. b) VAR AGLOW (N Takawira), was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Trainer D Swanson advised (GF) JOCKEY AND/OR EQUIPMENT CHANGES: a) JET MIRAGE raced equipped with blinkers. RACE CARD CHANGES / OTHER: None. THE VETERINARY SURGEON HAD NO REPORT. THERE WERE NO SCRATCHINGS.
