THE STARTER REPORTED: a) SUGAR BLAST (*T Mayhew) was restless in the stalls. b) APACHE SON (P Mxoli) stood losing many lengths. The starting stall certificate for this gelding has been withdrawn. Trainer T Zackey was advised (PHvdW). THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED: a) Jockey M van Rensburg reported that HAWKBILL did not stride out freely in running. The Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine this gelding. b) In view of the Starter's report with regard to APACHE SON, this gelding's starting stall certificate has been withdrawn and he is suspended in terms of Rule 61.6.10 for a period of 7 days and until such time as he proves tractable loading and jumping with a companion. Suspension dates: 13 October 2024 to 19 October 2024. APACHE SON may not be presented for re-passing during this period. Trainer T Zackey was advised. c) THUNEE PLAYA (K A Brewer), the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis.
