THE STARTER REPORTED: a) BYTHELITEOFTHEMOON (R Fourie) hit the left side of the front gate leaving the stalls and thereafter was slow into stride. b) MEDITERANEANGODDES (J Gates) jumped outwards. c) PROJECT RUNWAY (C Zackey) was slow into stride. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED: a) HAVANA GREY (X Ndlovu) had to steady off the heels of BOSSY BOOTS (M Yeni), which jumped inwards shortly after the start. b) Jockey M Yeni reported that he felt something amiss with BOSSY BOOTS and he did not persevere with his riding from the 400m. The Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine this filly. Trainer DA McKenzie was advised to report back should he find anything amiss with this filly on her return to the stables. c) Jockey C Maujean reported that GOLD AGENT did not stride out freely in running. The Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine this filly. d) MISS SHAIVI, the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Trainer GD Smith was advised.
