STARTER REPORTED: a) DIAMOND DASH (D Schwarz) reared in the stalls. b) SHAMOON (M van Rensburg) jumped outwards leaving the stalls. c) ARTIC SILVER (C Zackey), FAN THE FLAME (M K Katjedi) and WINTER MIRACLE (C Maujean) were slow into stride. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED: a) Shortly after the start, FAN THE FLAME (M K Katjedi) was steadied when awkwardly placed between SHAMOON (M van Rensburg), which jumped outwards leaving the stalls, and SONIC JET (M Yeni), which jumped inwards leaving the stalls. b) CHILLI MARMALADE (R Danielson) hung out from the 400m. c) Jockey M K Katjedi (FAN THE FLAME) did not persevere with his riding from the 300m. Thereafter, Jockey M K Katjedi reported that he felt something amiss with this filly in running. The Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine. d) Apprentice T Mayhew (RADIANT HEAT) did not persevere with his riding in the concluding stages. Thereafter, Apprentice T Mayhew reported that this filly did not stride out freely in running. The Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine. e) In the concluding stages, CAT O'CLOCK (G Lerena) was carried in by SONIC JET (M Yeni), which hung in from the 400m. f) MISS LIA (P Mxoli), the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis.
