THE STARTER REPORTED: a) GREENLAND (G van Niekerk) jumped slow, losing two lengths and thereafter was slow into stride. b) FIREFLARE (C Bantam) and DAWN TILL DUSK (JP van der Merwe) were slow into stride. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED: a) DALMENY FACTOR (D Schwarz) was hanging in in the concluding stages. b) Jockey A Domeyer reported that MICHAEL FARADAY changed legs continuously in running and he did not persevere with his riding from the 150m. The Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine this gelding. c) Jockeys S Veale and G van Niekerk reported that they felt something amiss with SHAVOUT and GREENLAND respectively. The Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine these geldings. d) RADICCHIO, the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Trainer PAW Botha was advised.
