Stipes Report
THE STARTER REPORTED: a) BENEATH THE MOON (T Godden) was slow into stride. b) CHAMPAGNE MAC (R Fourie) threw its head down as the start was effected and was slow into stride THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED: a) The start of this race was delayed due to the delay in the previous race. b) At the 200m Jockey O Noach (CAPTAIN'S DESTINY) hesitated with his riding when awkwardly placed on the outside of LADY LOXTON (L Mxothwa), which was attempting to improve on the outside of PRINCE OF TIBET (JP van der Merwe), which rolled out and was straightened. Thereafter LADY LOXTON (L Mxothwa) was directed inwards to continue to its run. c) Jockey G Wright was charged with a contravention of Rule 55.4 in that he failed to weigh out at the carded weight on UNDERCOVER LOVER, or at the higher weight confirmed in his engagement with the Trainer. Jockey G Wright signed an admission of guilt and was fined R1500.00. d) PRINCE OF TIBET, the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Trainer ELP Steyn was advised.
