Stipes Report
THE STARTER REPORTED: a) GREENLIGHT JET (*I Taka) and MASTER BOMBER (D Schwarz) jumped slow, losing one length. b) WORLD SOPRANO (S Veale) and COUNT WILLIAM (M Mjoka) made contact leaving the stalls. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED: a) Leaving the 1000m COUNT WILLIAM (M Mjoka), which raced with an awkward head carriage in the early stages, rolled out and then shifted in and brushed THOMAS JENKINS (K Steyn) when awkwardly placed close to the heels of GRAND ALLEGRO (O Noach) which received some pressure from REAL STUNNER (L Mxothwa). Shortly thereafter, COUNT WILLIAM (M Mjoka), which continued to race awkwardly, was steadied away from the heels of GRAND ALLEGRO (O Noach). b) DISTRICT MASTER (D Ashby) raced wide on the latter part of the turn and into the straight. c) Between the 300m and the 200m RAFA BAY (JP van der Merwe) was carried outward marginally by DIABLO (C Orffer), which was hanging out and had to be straightened. d) At the 150m THOMAS JENKINS (K Steyn) was steadied briefly and directed outwards when awkwardly placed on the inside of REAL STUNNER (L Mxothwa). e) DIABLO, the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis.
