Stipes Report
THE STARTER REPORTED: a) BACCHUS (G Lerena) was restless in the stalls and thereafter slow losing one length. b) FULL GO (M K Katjedi) was slow losing one length. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED: a) At approximately the 350m, CERULEAN DANCER (C Habib) was steadied momentarily when awkwardly placed between SAFE SPACE (C Maujean) and FLAG BEARER (*G Samo-Burthia) which hung in from the 500m. b) Jockey G Lerena was charged with a contravention of Rule 58.10.2 (Appendix E read with Guideline 3 on the use of the crop) in that he misused his crop by striking BACCHUS forward of the saddle in the concluding stages. Jockey G Lerena signed an Admission of Guilt and was fined R1000. c) HEATHER'S BOY (C Zackey), the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Trainer M F de Kock advised (MduP).
