THE STARTER REPORTED: a) DIMAKO'S JET (G Lerena) and LAST CAR TO PASS (K Matsunyane) jumped inwards leaving the stalls. b) PEARL IN HER CROWN (M Yeni) was slow losing one length. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED: a) At approximately the 1500m, EASY ON ME (*T Mayhew), which was encouraged forward after a tardy start, was steadied when awkwardly placed between the inside running rail and BOOM BOOM (R Danielson), which rolled in marginally. b) In view of the performance of PEARL IN HER CROWN (M Yeni), (distance 7,75 lengths, betting 28/10), the Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine this filly. c) THEATRE OF LIFE (C Habib), the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis.
