THE STARTER REPORTED: a) GLOBAL SPEAK (S Veale) jumped slow, losing one length. b) PALANCAR (JP van der Merwe) and CHASINGTHERAINBOW (L Mxothwa) was slow into stride. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED: a) GLOBAL SPEAK (S Veale) pulled hard in the early stages. b) Approaching the 50m SHOW OFF (R Fourie) shifted in away from the crop and, as a consequence, had to be steadied when close to the heels of MONKEY PUZZLE (G Wright) shortly before the finish. c) CHASINGTHERAINBOW, the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis.
