THE STARTER REPORTED:

a)	TIMELINE (S Veale) stood awkwardly and was restless in the stalls.
b)	STILL TOGETHER (C Zackey) and WIZZ (D Ashby) jumped slow, losing one length.
c)	TRUE HORIZON (JP van der Merwe) was slow into stride.  

THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED: 

a)	At the 1000m LEAD TO GLORY (D Schwarz), which over raced in the early stages, got its head up for a number of strides while being steadied away from the heels of TIMELINE (S Veale).
b)	Leaving the 400m ALESSIA ASHEVILLE (C Bantam) rolled in and had to be steadied when close to the heels of TIMELINE (S Veale), which rolled out.
c)	DAISY DUKE (K Steyn) was hanging out from the 200m.
d)	Jockey C Zackey was charged with a contravention of Rule 58.10.2 (Guideline 3; Appendix E) in that he mis-used 	his crop by striking STILL TOGETHER forward of the saddle leaving the 200m. Jockey C Zackey signed an 	admission of guilt and was fined R1 000.00.
e)	DECEMBER DAWN, the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Trainer C Bass-Robinson was advised. (SC)
