THE STARTER REPORTED:  
a)	During the loading process YANNAKIS (*S Sosibo) became restless in the stalls and rushed the front gates. This gelding was removed from the stalls, examined by the Veterinary Surgeon and subsequently withdrawn. Trainer G I Rich has been advised to re-school this gelding (SN).
b)	BUGALUGS (C Zackey) was restless in the stalls. 
c)	ALL THE TIME (S Moodley) lost 1 length and thereafter was slow into stride.
  
THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED :
a)	WINTER WAVES (A Mgudlwa) hung out from the 350m.
b)	Jockey M V'Rensburg reported that BOB made an abnormal respiratory noise in the concluding stages. The Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine.
c)	In view of the performance of ALL THE TIME (S Moodley) (9.55 lengths, 25/1 in the betting), the Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine.
d)	MR HENLEY (K Matsunyane), the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Trainer A J Rivalland advised (SP).
