THE STARTER REPORTED: a) KINSHIN SHA (*T Mayhew) jumped inwards leaving the stalls. b) ONE AND ALL (D De Gouveia) was slow losing one length. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED: a) As the start was effected, SAKHALA IS'CATHULO (R Danielson) and REMAINS OF THE DAY (*G Dookhit) were bumped in by COMING IN HOT (*G Samo-Burthia), which in turn was bumped in by KINSHIN SHA (*T Mayhew), which jumped inwards leaving the stalls. b) Jockey L Nhlapo (MOTHER CITY) did not persevere with his riding from the 300m. Thereafter, Jockey L Nhlapo reported that this filly did not stride out freely in running. The Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine. c) Apprentice G Samo-Burthia, the rider of REMAINS OF THE DAY, rode a satisfactory qualifying ride. d) Jockey P Strydom signed an admission of guilt for a contravention of Rule 62.2.3 in that he failed to ride WHAT A TIGER out to the end of the race to the satisfaction of the Stipendiary Stewards. Jockey P Strydom signed an Admission of Guilt and was fined R1000. e) KING OF VENUS (C Habib), the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Trainer S G Tarry advised (MS).
