Stipes Report
THE STARTER REPORTED: a) GOLDEN LINK (C Maujean) was nervous in the stalls. b) LAGUNA VERDE (L Mxothwa) jumped slow, losing one length. c) SLINGS AND ARROWS (C Zackey), BARZALONA (*DB Geerthsen) and UBISIKA (S Naidoo) were slow into stride. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED: a) IDITA (Y Ramzan) over raced in the early and middle stages. b) Shortly before the line, TEATRO (K Minnie) had to be steadied when squeezed between SLINGS AND ARROWS (C Zackey) and MAKHACHEV (M Yeni), which was carried outwards by GOLDEN LINK (C Maujean). Jockey C Maujean appeared before the Board and was advised to take stronger measures to keep his mounts on a straight course in similar circumstances. c) GOLDEN LINK, the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Trainer SB Kotzen was advised.
