a)	MISS WORLD (D Ashby) and BILLY COOL (G Wright) were slow into stride.

THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED: 

a)	ROMAN AGENT (JP van der Merwe) was hanging in from the 300m.
b)	At the 200m HANDSOME PRINCE (G van Niekerk) rolled out and had to be straightened.
c)	Jockey D Ashby	was charged with a contravention of Rule 58.10.2 (Guideline 3; Appendix E) in that he mis-used his crop by striking MISS WORLD forward of the saddle in the latter stages. Jockey D Ashby signed an admission of guilt and was fined R1 000.00.
