THE STARTER REPORTED: a) QUERARI ROSE (M Thackeray) was stubborn to load. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED : a) MISS PAGET was selected for the taking of specimens for TCO2. testing. The first specimen analysed at 14h00 revealed a level of over 36 TCO2. mmol/L. In terms of the Procedure for Total Carbon Dioxide (TCO2) analysis on Raceday, a second blood specimen was collected. Trainer Wright was informed that the second blood specimen, analysed at 14h17 had revealed a level of over the threshold of 38 mmol/L. Consequently MISS PAGET was scratched from this race in terms of the provisions of Rules 72.1.23; 4.2.14 and 4.2.18. (Withdrawn at 14h32, 7/1 in the betting). b) QUERARI ROSE (M Thackeray), the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis.
