THE STARTER REPORTED: a) TIDAL ROCK (D Daniels) lost 1 length. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED : a) After losing 1 length at the start TIDAL ROCK (D Daniels) was slow into stride and thereafter raced detached throughout. Trainer D Bosch was advised that should this gelding continue to race in a similar manner going forward, it may be suspended. b) At the 1800m Jockey D Daniels (TIDAL ROCK) accidentally dropped his crop. c) Apprentice M Mbuto (WAR LOVER) completed a satisfactory qualifying ride. d) Jockey N Patel reported that IRON MONGER did not stride out freely in the running. The Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine. e) Apprentice M Mbuto reported that WAR LOVER took no interest in the running. The Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine. f) In view of the performance of TIDAL ROCK (D Daniels) (distance, 25/1 in the betting), the Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine. g) HOODWINKED (S Moodley), the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis.
