THE STARTER REPORTED: a) BLUE HORIZON (*T Mayhew) jumped awkwardly leaving the stalls. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED: a) COURAGEOUS (P Mxoli) over-raced in the early stages. b) Approaching the 1200m, HEART PEAKS (K A Brewer), which proved difficult to settle, was directed outwards away from the heels of SEA ANEMONE (M K Katjedi). Simultaneously, BLUE HORIZON (*T Mayhew), which had been encouraged forward, was steadied to avoid running into restricted galloping room between SEA ANEMONE (M K Katjedi) and HEART PEAKS (K A Brewer). c) Approaching the 300m, BLUE HORIZON (*T Mayhew) was steadied when awkwardly placed between SEA ANEMONE (M K Katjedi) and COURAGEOUS (P Mxoli) which was directed outwards to avoid the heels of ALABAMA ANNA (C Zackey). d) Jockey M van Rensburg, the rider of WILLY MEET AGAIN, briefly dropped his right-side rein at the 100m. e) Jockey R Danielson reported that ALESIA'S LOVE did not stride out freely in running. The Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine this filly. f) WILLY MEET AGAIN (M van Rensburg), the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Stable Employee A Houdalakis, acting on behalf of Trainer M N Houdalakis, was advised (MS).
