THE STARTER REPORTED A) JACK AND GINGER and KHAL DROGO were stubborn loading. B) IKAPA was slow away and lost 1 length. C) JACK IN THE BOX jumped awkwardly leaving the stalls. D) SILVAN PARK was stubborn loading. The starting stalls certificate for this gelding is withdrawn. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED A) WAR MAN (L Mxothwa) was hanging in, in the straight and proved difficult to assist. B) In view of the performance of VANDERBILT (G Cheyne) (distance 21.50 - betting 18/10) the Course Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine. C) In view of the Starter's report with regard to SILVAN PARK (T Gould), this gelding's starting stall certificate is withdrawn and he is suspended in terms of Rule 61.6.10 for a period of 7 days and until such time as he proves tractable loading into the stalls. Suspension dates: 19 March 2022 to 25 March 2022 both days included. SILVAN PARK may not be presented for re-passing during this period. Trainer T J Laing was advised. D) The winner JACK AND GINGER was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis, Trainer G D Smith advised (LM).
