THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED: 

a)	OLIVER TWIST hit the left front gate leaving the stalls, which resulted in Jockey R Fourie becoming unbalanced for a number of strides.
b)	MAYOR OF MERRIVALE (D Schwarz) took an awkward stride shortly after the start.
c)	Jockey R Fourie reported that he felt something amiss with OLIVER TWIST and he did not persevere with his riding from the 250m. The Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine this colt.
	Trainer GD Smith was advised to report back should he find anything amiss with this colt on his return to the stables.
d)	In view of the performance of AGAMEMNON (E Webber), the Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine this gelding.
	Trainer K Mitchley was advised to report back should she find anything amiss with this gelding on her return to the stables.
