THE STARTER REPORTED:

b)	ONE WISH (R Fourie) was stubborn loading and thereafter was slow into stride.
c)	VERY VAR VAR (*N Nastili) was nervous in the stalls and thereafter was slow into stride.
d)	ELEGANT APPEAL (S Naidoo) and TAKE YOUR TIME (E Webber) were slow into stride.
	
THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED: 

a)	TAKE YOUR TIME recorded a TCO2 concentration of more than 36 mmol/L. Trainer Z Oosthuizen was advised that a second blood specimen would be collected. This specimen was of an acceptable TCO2 level.
b)	LADY SONATINE (L Mxothwa) over raced in the early and middle stages.
c)	VERY VAR VAR (*N Nastili) over raced in the early stages and middle stages and proved difficult to settle and compounded in the straight.
d)	ACCUMULATE (*DB Geerthsen) was hanging out from the 250m and was corrected.
e)	An Inquiry will be opened into why TAKE YOUR TIME (E Webber) had to be eased at approximately the 600m.
f)	Jockey L Mxothwa reported that LADY SONATINE did not stride out freely in running. The Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine this filly.
g)	Jockey R Fourie reported that he felt something amiss with ONE WISH. The Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine this filly.
h)	Trainer GD Smith was charged with a contravention of Rule 11.2.8 in that he presented ANGEL OF MY HEART incorrectly equipped in the parade ring. Trainer GD Smith signed an Admission of Guilt and was fined R500.00
i)	BURN BRIGHT, the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Trainer AC Greeff was advised. (LM)
