THE STARTER REPORTED: a) A fair start. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED : a) Leaving the starting stalls DORSET (R A Venniker), which was slow into stride, was squeezed out between KOLA TONIC (M V'Rensburg) which was bumped out by LADY OF VIX (M Thackeray) which jumped out, and GOOD LIVING (K Matsunyane) which jumped in. b) GOOD LIVING (K Matsunyane) and MO KING (S Moodley) hung in from the 300m. c) In view of the performance of MO KING (S Moodley) (8.55 lengths, 33/1 in the betting), the Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine. d) LADY OF VIX (M Thackeray), the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis.
