THE STARTER REPORTED:  
a)	A fair start.

  THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED :
a)	In the concluding stages HURRICANE FLIGHT (R A Venniker) was briefly carried in by PULL A FAST ONE (C Habib) which shifted in away from the crop.
b)	BALTIC ASSAYER (D Schwarz) hung out throughout. 
c)	Jockey D Daniels reported that QUEEN OF THE AIR did not act in the prevailing good to soft track condition.  The Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine this filly.
d)	Jockey S Moodley signed an admission of guilt for a contravention of Rule 58.10.2 (Appendix E; Guideline M), in that as the rider of FLYING HAFLA, he misused his crop by striking this filly more than twelve times (15) which was not warranted when considering the circumstances of the race. Accordingly, a penalty of a fine of R7500 was imposed.
e)	PULL A FAST ONE (C Habib), the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Trainer W Whitehead advised (DZ).
