THE STARTER REPORTED: a) MOUNT PILATUS (C Zackey) jumped inwards leaving the stalls. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED: a) Approaching the 200m, GORGEOUS KLEIN (G Lerena) was directed outwards in anticipation of racing into restricted galloping room between the inside running rail and MOUNT PILATUS (C Zackey), which hung in and shifted in gradually from the 500m. b) Jockey Wes Marwing reported that he felt something amiss with DARING DASH in running. The Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine this gelding. c) MOUNT PILATUS (C Zackey), the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Trainer P F Matchett advised (MS).
