Stipes Report

SAVANNAH STORM (P STRYDOM) PROVED RELUCTANT PROCEEDING TO THE START AND HAD TO BE LED BY A HANDLER. THIS CAUSED A DELAY TO THE START OF THIS RACE.  

THE STARTER REPORTED:
a)	SAVANNAH STORM (P Strydom) stumbled leaving the stalls.
b)	Shortly after the start, ESQUEVELLE (R Danielson), which jumped outwards leaving the stalls, and CIAN THE CONQUEROR (M van Rensburg), which jumped inwards leaving the stalls, came together and bumped. 

THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED:
a)	SAVANNAH STORM (P Strydom) proved reluctant proceeding to the start and had to be led by a Handler. 
Trainer J M Vermeulen was advised that should this gelding behave in a similar manner in future, it may be suspended.
b)	At approximately the 1200m, THE AFRICA HOUSE (C Zackey) and CIAN THE CONQUEROR (M van Rensburg) were carried in by SILENT WAR (C Habib), which rolled in slightly. As a consequence, CIAN THE CONQUEROR (M van Rensburg) was steadied momentarily to avoid the heels of ESQUEVELLE (R Danielson). 
c)	Leaving the 400m, SILENT WAR (C Habib) was steadied momentarily when awkwardly placed on the heels of ESQUEVELLE (R Danielson), which rolled out. 
d)	Leaving the 400m, THE AFRICA HOUSE (C Zackey) and CIAN THE CONQUEROR (M van Rensburg) came together and bumped.
e)	Jockey M van Rensburg reported that CIAN THE CONQUEROR did not stride out freely in running. 
The Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine this gelding. 	
f)	Apprentice G Samo-Burthia, the rider of BOB'S YOUR UNCLE, rode a satisfactory qualifying ride.
g)	SAVANNAH STORM (P Strydom), the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis.

a)	BREEZE OVER	 was ridden by Jockey D De Gouveia (declared 12 November 2024 at 08H11).
