Stipes Report

THE STARTER REPORTED:
a)	SIMPLY MAJESTIC (M van Rensburg) jumped inwards leaving the stalls.	
b)	SWING UPON A STAR (*G Samo-Burthia) was slow losing one length.

THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED:
a)	As the start was effected, CHOCOLATE SOLDIER (*T Mayhew) was bumped by SIMPLY MAJESTIC (M van Rensburg), which jumped inwards leaving the stalls.	
b)	After a tardy start, SWING UPON A STAR (*G Samo-Burthia) failed to muster early speed and raced detached from the field. In response to Apprentice G Samo-Burthia's urgings, the gelding managed to regain contact with the field at the 500m. In the concluding stages, SWING UPON A STAR (*G Samo-Burthia), which finished strongly, shifted in away from the crop and was steadied to avoid the heels of CHOCOLATE SOLDIER (*T Mayhew) and lost position. 
c)	DONTSHOOTTHEBARMAN (K Matsunyane) hung in from the 300m.
d)	SIMPLY MAJESTIC (M van Rensburg) and NKANDLA GOLD (J Gates) came together and brushed at the 200m.
e)	In view of the performance of SIMPLY MAJESTIC (M van Rensburg), (distance 4,60 lengths, betting 4/1), the Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine this filly.	
f)	MAGIC TATTOO (C Zackey), the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis.
