THE STARTER REPORTED:

a)	PYROMANIAC (D Schwarz) and NO PLACE LIKE HOME (K Minnie) jumped slow, losing one length.	 
	
THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED: 

a)	Jockey K Minnie reported that NO PLACE LIKE HOME did not stride out freely in running. The Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine this gelding.
b)	Jockey E Webber was charged with a contravention of Rule 58.10.2 (Guideline 3; Appendix E) in that he mis-used his crop by striking DOWSER forward of the saddle with his hand off the reins at the 250m. Jockey E Webber signed an admission of guilt and was fined R1 000.00.
c)	PASSCHENDAELE, the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Trainer K Mitchley was advised. (LM)
