Stipes Report
THE STARTER REPORTED: a) KILEIGH'S FATE (K Steyn) was stubborn loading. b) LADY MAJORCA (Y Ramzan) was nervous in the stalls, rushed the front gates and jumped slow, losing one length. c) SI GIOCA (R Fourie) was nervous in the stalls and jumped slow, losing one length. d) BELOW DECK (K Minnie) jumped slow, losing one length. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED: a) KILMONIVAIG recorded a TCO2 concentration of more than 36 mmol/L. Trainer TJ Laing was advised that a second blood specimen would be collected. This specimen was of an acceptable TCO2 level. b) TARTAN QUEEN (S Naidoo) had to be steadied momentarily off the heels of FROSTY RECEPTION (E Webber), which shifted inwards and was forced to switch in for a clear run at approximately the 250m. c) KILMONIVAIG (C Maujean) over raced in the early and middle stages. d) In view of the performance of FROSTY RECEPTION (E Webber), the Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine this filly. e) MARSHMALLOW, the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Trainer WGC Miller was advised.
